  4. Christmas “Minute to Win It” Game Ideas and Free Printable Scorecard

November 17, 2015 by Faffy Tea

Minute to Win It Mini Games

It’s getting all cold and festive! If you’re throwing a Christmas party, here are some ‘Minute to Win It’ game ideas that all guests will enjoy.

There’s also a free printable scorecard (using our “Christmas Village” theme) that you can download to keep note of guests scores in the games.

    1. CLIFFHANGER
Place 8 Christmas cards in the middle of a table, standing so that the fold of each card is horizontal and the folded edge points upwards. One-by-one guests have one minute each to blow on the cards to move them slowly and gently so that as the cards fall off the edge of the table, one side of the cards keeps them hanging on. It’s tricky!

    2. JINGLE IN THE TRUNK
Use an empty tissue box and tie string or ribbon to it so that each guest can tie it around their waist. Boxes should be positioned at the bottom of the guest’s back. Fill the tissue box with jingling bells, cotton wool balls and/or polystyrene balls. Guests have one minute to shake their booty, jump and wiggle to get as many items out of the tissue box as they can. No leaning back!

    3. STOCKING FIDDLER
Get a Christmas stocking and fill it with 15-20 objects. You can use anything you like such as Christmas decorations, household and kitchen objects, and toys (although nothing breakable). Tie up or stick down the opening of the stocking so that nobody can look inside. Guests have one minute to feel the stocking and write down as many of the objects that they think are inside the stocking as they can.

    4. RUDOLPH NOSE BEST
Purchase some red pompoms (once for each guest… for hygiene reasons!) and tie/glue a short length of string to them. Give each guest a blob of petroleum jelly on the end of their nose. Guests then bite on to the non-pompom end of the string, and have to use their heads and bodies to swing the pompom and get it to stick to the petroleum jelly. See how many times each guest can do it in one minute. Voila – Rudolph’s red nose!

    5. BAUBLES SWING LOW
In a corridor or large room that has a carpet, create a track along the floor by taping some edges or laying down string. Attach a plastic bauble to string / ribbon just at the right length that it can swing between guests’ legs and reach the floor. You can also use another piece or string or ribbon to tie the bauble on string around guests’ waists. Each guest then has one minute to swing their baubles between their legs and hit a ball along the track, just using the movement of their bodies (no hands!). If they hit the edge of the track their turn is instantly over, so they must go carefully and slowly. After a minute, measure the length they have achieved!

    6. SNOWBALLS ‘N’ STICKS
Find two Christmas biscuit tins (or similar vessels!) and fill one with cotton wool balls, then decorate some chopsticks to look all festive. Guests have one minute to use the chopsticks to move as many cotton wool balls from the full tin into the empty tin as they can!

    Free Printable Christmas Game

Here’s a free printable scorecard that you can use to make note of all guests’ scores for the 6 “Minute To Win It” games above.

The scorecard is a JPG image file so can be printed from any home printer.

It will work best if it’s printed at A5 size – e.g. use the Windows Print Pictures feature to print two copies on an A4 sheet of paper or card:

  5. Free Printable Hen Party Game – “The Phone Game” – Simple, easy game using guests’ mobile or cellphones

September 22, 2015 by Faffy Tea

Here’s a new free printable from our 90s inspired Hen Party range – “The Phone Game”.

This very simple point-scoring game is created for Hen Parties (Bridal Showers / Bacherlorette Parties), but would also be fun to play at any type of party. Get all of your guests to take out their mobile phones / cellphones. On the game sheet you’ll see that guests collect or lose points based on their phone’s apps, messages, contacts and so on. The guest with the highest score wins!

We like the thought of mixing a very modern concept into a retro 1990s themed party (you also might be able to get guests to abandon their phones for the night afterwards!)
